중국은 2004부터 GDP성장률이 10% 넘기 시작하여, 2007년에 14.2%로 역대 최고치를 기록하였다. 2006년 중국 크루즈 이용자수는 2만 명에 불과했지만, 2015년에는 약 36배 증가합니다.

NCLH was incorporated on February 21, 2011 in anticipation of a planned initial public offering(IPO). At the time, NCL was owned by a consortium of Genting Hong Kong, Apollo Management and TPG Capital. Following the completion of the IPO in January 2013, NCL and NCLH underwent a corporate reorganization that gave NCLH full ownership of NCL, while NCL’s previous owners exchanged their stakes for shares in NCLH.

From 2013 through 2017, major developments in the Asian operations of Star Cruises/Genting Hong Kong, Costa Crociere, Royal Caribbean International (RCI), and Princess Cruises.

☞The growth of the low-cost carriers (LCC) greatly reduced the cost of the air portion of a cruise.

 

Post 2017, joined by global brands Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, AIDA Cruises, and Carnival Cruise Line.

 

Dream Cruises is a cruise line owned by Genting Hong Kong. Genting announced the introduction of Dream Cruises in November 2015 in Gunagzhou as an Asian luxury cruise line. It debuted in November 2016.

-In 2015, RCI placed Quantum of the Seas(168,666GT), in ShanghaiRCI started a joint venture, SeaSky Cruises, with Ctrip.com; Celebrity Century was renamed Golden Era and modified; Costa Fortuna, Costa Serena / Sapphire Princess, Diamond Princess

-In 2016, Genting Hong Kong, introduced Dream Cruises.

-In 2017, Princess Cruises, introduced Majestic Princess; AIDA bella / Costa neoRomantica

 

● TAIWAN

In 2016, Taiwan was ranked Asia's 3rd-largest cruise travel market - following China and Singapore.

In 2017, Port Keelung attracted Costa Cruises for two roundtrip itineraries. They were operated by the ships Costa neoRomantica and Costa Fortuna. the port reported a record year with 32% increase in cruise passengers. Taiwan ranked Asia's 2nd in terms of cruise ship tourism. Star Cruises homeported here SuperStar Aquarius.
